Sanfam (Firstones admin) is going to contact Christopher Franke and ask if they can legally release the soundtrack.

For the lazy who won't bother reading my firstones post then here is a short summary.

I was pointed out by a friend that there is an unreleased soundtrack of the cancelled B5: Combat Simulation on his FTP. There were five tracks... all of them extended versions of Frankes excellent Battle Sequence tracks.

I have uploaded in an über secret location but I won't reveal it until it has been put on a "safer" location and I want to hear Chris Frankes opinion about this as well.

Tracklist:
Battle Themes Track 1 - Battle Sequence A with lots of new material. 11:22 minutes long.
Battle Themes Track 2 - Battle Sequence B (I first didn't recognize this at all since those familiar clips were scattered around this track) with lots of new material too. 11:23 minutes long
Battle Themes Track 3 - Battle Sequence D with new material. 11:23 minutes long
Battle Themes Track 4 - Battle Sequences E and F with new material. 11:17 minutes long.
Battle Themes Track 5 - Babylon 5 Game Preview Track (some of you may remember this. The oldest sample clip from the game) and Battle Sequence C with lots of new material. 11:24 minutes long.

It would be a shame to see this soundtrack to be forgotten completely.

Franke released these tracks for free use....the only condition was their bitrate, which had to be 128 kbps max...

Yeah... those tracks from third-space.net are the short versions of the Battle Sequence tracks. They are excellent pieces too so if you haven't heard them, listen to them for the time being.

We will work something out with the Firstones guys.

Black Sheep, the five tracks in question are extended versions. Only very few have ever heard them as far as I know. Actually at the moment I know only three fans who have them. (including me and Darkblade)

That's on need-to-know basis.

Unreleased? No... Very rare? Yes.

And even if I am just a puny finn, I have some sources in high places.

I suspect that this is a bit out of their area. They are a US only authority anyways, not like they have sweeping global powers thank god. Constrict the crazy organizations like that to a single country please

Thumbs up

I can't thank enough. Just yesterday I got to thinking about this again, and then - wham!

I will help seed it as long as it's needed.
Odd there aren't more people getting it... yet?
