The beacon of hope (Buying FS!!!)

To help keep this great comunity of people going im gonna post some links i found to buy FS1/ST/2 ! Better than me it took a while.

http://store.yahoo.com/dealdealdeal/300377.html
FreeSpace 1 and Silent threat battlepack 15$
IN SToCK

http://www.superbookdeals.com/cgi-bin/moreinfo.cgi?item=1516973
FreeSpace 2 strategy Guide 16$

http://www.fundever.com/product.asp?p=1295
Free Space 2 (Just the CD's) 15$
(it might be game of the year edition)

Does the Game of the year edition have white CD's with the ships on them instead of the silver CD's with ships on them? If so the FS2 link is game of the year.

Best Buy sells FS1 and ST in their "old CD's and games" section for $9.99... of course, that was some 6 months ago. Cant comment on fundever's edition tho...

fundever...

I went there a very long time ago...Its the Sci-Fi Sim of the Year Edition but because I live in AU I can't get it - they don't ship to me... They only ship to US residents

it is legal to copy the cd right?

if so you can send me 1.50 US for postage (i dont know how much that is in AU) ill mail a free copy since i have a few thousand blanks lying around. also i just feel generous

donno if its GOTYE but my CDs are white whith ships on them so they do exist...whats the difference?

Posted by Krackers87 on 06-11-2003 03:34 PM:

actualy it seems that my silver cd's are GOTYE i just didnt know it. the difference is that GOTYE has the Xmissions Gauntlet missions and templar extra campaign plus there is a major price difference.

Hey Krackers if your really feeling generous, I'll send you the money, cause my CDs are all frecked up and don't work. I would need your address though.

It is widely available throught the edonkey/emule networks.

Though I would think if you looked hard enough, there are copies of FS2 out there.

Freespace 2 Sci-Fi Sim of the Year for Sale

I have a few extra copies still factory sealed I would be willing to sell to people here instead of selling them on eBay.

Sorry for posting this in multiple topics but I wanted to make sure anyone that might be interested sees it if they are only following a specific thread or two.

Ken

This online store is totally untrustworthy and misleading:

A) They do not have any copies in stock!
B) The supplier Sybex does not have any in stock either!

I personally recommend not to purchase off them! or prepared to get screwed over...
