I am maknig a campaign and need to know how to take in mission screenshots. can someone help me?

That would sadly be your only choice, though a few of the viudeo capture proggies might allow you to run them and FS2 simultaneously with an acceptable framerate on some very high end machines, but I don't know.

one time i hookled up a tv and a vcr to my ATI video card that had a TV tuner or something. That worked preety well.

That wouldnt be soo expensive. That ati card was pretty old.
