A thing i noticed....
When the Omega's rotating section get's destroyed ingame, the entire section dissappers from the targeting scanner camera, leaving a blank hole in the middle of the Omega's hull. Just curious, but is this a FS2 limitation, or can it be fixed?
FS2 limitation if I recall correctly.

Its just that most of our models are lacking destroyed geometry (which essentially just hides under normal stuff until the normal is destroyed). Its the same with the engines...they just disappear.
And the Hyperion's turrets, Sharlin's turrets....Tinashi engine...etc. One day maybe

But what about the Faustus or the Shivan Commnode?
When you destroy the solarpanels or the "Blades" you see a little bit of them left and it really looks like they are blown away. They don't just desappear.
So it should be possible to make it that way, that somethings there after destroying the rotaionsection. I would recommend a tube in the middle. That should be enough.
nobert did you just read icefires post?

He might have, but obviously didn't bother understanding it.
Let's make it simple: Of course it is possible, it simply just hasn't been done yet, to get R2 out for us to play with as soon as was possible. Later, they'll be done... and with a lot better solutions than a tube for a rotating section - it's too big an object to disappear so completely.
Unless you have another destroyer ram it.
