Omega-X Story Question

I was designing a mission and started wondering...
I know shadow ships have telepaths plugged into them. Does the Omega X have a teep plugged in as well? If so does it ever get blocked/slowed by other telepaths in the series?

No. It is a regular Omega with Shadow enhanced armor and weapons.

Shoadowships don't need a telepath to operate.
They just need anyone.
But they use telepath so the ships can't be jamed so easily by other telepath.
I think thats why Lyta had so much problems in stopping the battlecrab.

I think Lyta had trouble with the battlecrab because it's hard to jam the contection. Remember she is a P5 (I think, although she has Vorlon 'upgrades').P5 isn't exactly high in the scale. Trying to jam the ship at the range it was will take a lot out of her. As I seem to remember once they'ld destroyed the first Shadow ship, more arrived and Lyta was to drained to jam it.

Ahhh, she was P5, after the upgrades she was probably off the P-rating scale (i.e. above P13).

The problem was she didn't know that yet at the time. She only really started testing in series 5.

She knew she had been amped up and was at least as powerful as Bester. We know that from Ship of Tears when she caught Bester peeking into the command staff's heads during a meeting, she gave him a telepathis slap in the face whn he got to her.

Yeah, I remember one of the fourht season eps where Garibaldi was being a private eye that Kyta wanted a job.

"What is your empathic range?"
"Well, officially, 20-25 meters."
"Unofficially?"
"Further .. much."

Although my favorite Lyta quote is still this one:
"Oh, and you mentioned wondering what my pleasure threshold is. I just recently found out. .. I don't have one. Have a very, very nice day, G'Kar."

Ohh. Lyta I would think she was much more powerfull than the P-scale could tell. I would think when she gets full control of her powers she will be p100+

To give a reason why i think so.

(Cause im german i don't know the exact english words but i try to tell as exactly as i can.)

Lyta to "Sheridan" (if i remember well): In War you produce many small weapons. A few medium Weapons. And one or two Weapons of Massdestruction.

It was to Garibaldi. And then her eyes did that glowey thing.

"What you're talking about would be the telepathic equivalent of a nuclear bomb."
"Pleased to meet you Mr. Garibaldi."

Bah. Lyta wasn't that powerful. Jason Ironheart was far more powerful than she was. Which does make you wonder how much further the vorlons could have pushed her.

That said Jason Ironheart was probably more powerful than a vorlon so maybe they didn't want to push her that far.

Lyta is as powerful as a human telepath could be. Part of the Ironheart story was that he was becoming someting more than human.

Also, the Vorlons made Lytas powers to the extent they were to fight the Shadows. Not to be a telepathis superweapon. Yes there is a distinction there. Ironheart was powered up to the point where in his minds eye he could manipulate matter at the atomic level. Subtle manipulations, like clamping off an artery so someone dies, then letting it go leaving no trace.

Lyta on the other hand was modified for a largescale manipulation, such as jamming a LOT of shadow vessels at once, reaching out over immense distances to send a message, or to litterally burn out a Shadow CPU.

We're talking about different ranges of power here, for different purposes, modified using entirely different technologies. Also, while Ironheart-before "becoming" was constantly on the verge of losing control, Lyta has always been in complete control.

*beep* Incorrect - that was just the goal of the project, creating a stable telekinetic. However, the process worked beyond their wildest dreams. There was something greater achieved: not mind over matter, but mind over energy. Ironheart eventually became, well, a demi-god...

Just a correction: It wasn't "Ship Of Tears"... that was late season 3. The scene in question took place in Season 4, episode 7, "Epiphanies", when Bester wanted Sheridan to take him to Za'Ha'Dum to retrieve shadow tech to release Carolyn from the shadow cyber-web stuff.

Later!
