Crappy speeds

I tried to download R2 from several, mirrors and download sites, but they all have pretty bad connection speed, I mean it is good at first, but then it starts to decrease. so to put it simple, what and where is the fastest mirror/download site, any thought ? anyone ?

i got it from sourceforge at my max speed

Donwload speed depends mainly on 2 things (if either the server or the person who's downloading are doing something else with their bandwidth, I don't know how it works).

- First, it's the upload rate of the server.
- Second, it's your download rate.

The upload rate is the maximum rate anyone can download the file, while your download rate states the maximum rate YOU can download the file.

I don't know why the download rate seems to decay either...

I begin with a speed of 120k and then, it declines to 50k, 40k, etc...
