Well someone forgot to explain this..But Release 2 is not a mission release pack. Is a model pack.

From Now on the TBP Release are separated in Models Packs and Mission Packs. This mean that Model Pack would contain few missions, and Mission Pack well ...Missions,Campaign,Speach etc.

Yes, or get killed 5 times and hit skip. A mission patch will come soon. Even then though this is more a ship release than a mission release. Now the ships are out in the open the missions will come soon enough.

No **** buddies...but a model pack is pretty useless for fans who just wanna play TBP and don't want to design a mission...

Dudes, cmon , give em a break and appreciate some of the work they'd done.

The missions will pop up soon enough.

The ships and new GFX are beautiful, i do appreciate the work involved. My personal favorite is the Vorchan, although it can't aim very well it is simply cool

The thing just needs a little tweaking and all will be well.

Bug Report:

- Deliveries in Twilight Zone
No guns on Alpha Wing , hard to shoot without guns

- Battle of Jericho 3
Midwinter class fires right beam weapon through itself to hit the polaris.

- General
Own ship does not take damage when flying into friendly beam weapon ?

Works fine here, did you create a new pilot?

This is a visual glitch in FS2 engine and not a mission bug.

Yep, new Pilot and new install of FS , downloaded full version (200MB).

Odd though, i will try a few more times.

As for the Jericho bug, i didnt know it was a FS2 Bug, but certainly the mission designer could give beam-all-free a few seconds later when the midwinter has adjusted its heading

Posted by Mr. Fury on 05-09-2003 04:35 PM:

The midwinter does not move during the mission. You must be really picky if you can't live with the visual glitch showing up in the mission. Both the Jericho and Twilight are my missions.

Bleh, ok ok.

I just checked again, it doesnt move, i thought it changed heading though.

I can live with it, but its a tiny piece of work to change the heading so it wont fire through itself

As for the nogun bug, still happens to me though. Neither me nor my escort seems to have a gun, since when i order them, they dont fire

Posted by Mr. Fury on 05-09-2003 04:45 PM:

Strange, works for me... Anyone else having this problem?

Posted by Ashark on 05-09-2003 04:45 PM:

yeah i get the 42mm bug too id say the gun was missiong in TBL file since if you take off the scramble flag and assign 42mm into put it on yourself menu its not there.

Please apply this Mission 1 workaround and create a new pilot (just to make sure) and see if the problem is gone.

I just reinstalled FS2 and R2, but I am not using campaign file. And all friendlies have their weapons, including player.

Like I said in the thread, the missions are now in missions simulator. (Main hall > Tech data > Mission simulator)
quote:
The only change in this workaround is that campaign file has been deleted, all campaign missions are now accessible through mission simulator.

I apologize for the game-stopping bug. I'm still not 100% what the problem is but I've got a few leads.
