Somewhere in the weeks range probably. Cannot be more specific but we're clearing up some final problems, doing some bug testing. We won't have them all worked out in time for release probably, but anything serious will be out of the way.

Actually I dont like them.
The nebulae are boring. And they don't look like nebulae.

If you ask me we should kick all those single-colored nebulae to hell ( unless they aren't cleverly arranged to form up big beautiful multicolored nebulae )

looks like it's almost time to clear a path back to my computer... How well will this version run on Athlon 550MHz? and is the plan to do the two diferent downlaod types... One that is just a patch for R 1.2 and another that is for D/L if you don't have R 1?

TBP needs a wee bit more power than standard FS2 for the best details but if you can run R1 then R2 is pretty much the same. What we are doing is packing a whole lot of quality and efficiency into the models. We're running the high res textures to make things look nice. If you've got some speed than your set...but a 550mhz will probably be fine. If FS2 works....

Yes to two different download sets...its still going to be big however.

not as big as it would be though - because we're switching to a VP system and binary patches

the installer will take your existing TBP files (THEY NEED TO BE UNCHANGED!) and produce a VP out of them and then patch that 1.0/1.1 vp to the 2.0

there will be three VPs

Base
Animations
Music

maybe more later

depending on what you have installed for 1.0 will depend on your installer - there will be Normal R2.0 full (fresh install), R1.1 to R2.0 patch, R1.1 No-highres to R2.0 Patch

minimum required install for the patches are
(For R1.1 -> R2.0)
TBP Base 1.0 -> TBP Highres 1.0 -> TBP Base 1.1 -> TBP Highres 1.1

(For R1.1 NonHighres to -> R2.0)
TBP Base 1.0 -> TBP Base 1.1

[these being in order of course]

if you don't have Music or Animations 1.0 then you just uncheck them in the patch versions of R2.0
