I'm not very familiar with the source code so sorry if I'm retreading over previously tread ground here. I downloaded version 3.5 and was playing it just now and I switched on the cheats for fun and selected one of the capital ship beam weapons. Now usually in FS2 when I did this I got the sound of the beam at the instant of firing then nothing and a dinky little projectile sorta thing fired out. This time however, it was the same sound but the actual beam fired out. I tried it with different beams from the AAA's to the Sathanas's and each beam sounded the same but looked like the right one. Think this might have any implications for TBP in regards to the always wanted Minbari fighter beams?

Its already beign made on SCP and with in TBP open project. Bobboaus newest release of TBP open has Nial fighter beams (at least they look like it) and it looks seriously good, I suggest you get that pack and try it out

yes the SCP has fighter beam support - and yes flying a nial with fighter beams kicks arse - and they finally run stable in 3.5
