renaming of files

hi

I've recently downloaded a file over Kazaa. It has the suffixes .iso.exe. To burn it to a cd, it must be only a .iso file, but I don't know how to change it.
Could anyone help me, please?

Well ... either it's a self-extracting EXE, and it extracts an ISO ... or what you downloaded is a virus.

Either way, it's likely warez ... and therefore this thread gets the HAMMER(tm).

copy the file, so you have two of them.

now change one to a .EXE extension, and the other to a .ISO extension. now try to open the EXE extension, and then the ISO. if one of them works, then you know which format it should be. if none of them work, then try renaming to a .ZIP. if it STILL doesn't open, it's probably not valid.
