Give us the TRUTH about PS2 vs. GC versions of Summoner "A Goddess Reborn"

Does anyone else think it is really, really lame of Volition not to tell us what the differences are?

It makes me think they are trying to scam people into buying two copies of the exact same game.

I really think they have a duty to their customers to be honest about what exactly the two games are like, what the differences are (if any), etc.

Furthermore, when I go to the store tomorrow to buy the GC version of Summoner A Goddess Reborn, if there is no strat guide for it I would like to know in advance if buying the PS2 strat guide is worth it or is that going to have inconsistencies.

Ummm. Considering the game is on two different platforms, why would you want to know? Most people have one or the other, and don't yell at the developers to tell them in great detail exactly what the differences are.

I'm pretty sure Summoner is being ported to GC by a completely different developer (Cranky Pants IIRC), so V may not have exact details on GC specific changes. Though I'd expect the main changes to be to the gfx engine - bear in mind most people have only one console.

NB: Why not just rent the game? Or hell, just make sure you can take it back to store if need be.

Well, I own all three consoles so there is a decision to make =).

As for renting them: Firstly, neither one is in the local video stores. Secondly, I really do not have enough free time to PLAYTEST games just to see which one is better.
