Summoner 2 or different name???

i saw something odd today. in GamePro magazine, i saw an ad for Summoner 2 but it was advertised as Summoner-the prophecy. did the name change?

I haven't seen that particular ad, but I have also seen an alternate name...

I was just at the THQ Website, where I saw yet another name. Summoner 2 for the Gamecube, with the title of: The Summoner: A Goddess Reborn. Everything and everyone looks exactly the same... with the notable exceptions of Taurgis and Maia! Taurgis looks balder, maybe a bit meaner. Maia looks less well-muscled in the legs and shoulders, yet has significantly more cleavage, and much less shirt. Also her face is completely different: more cutsie-pie, not really very regal.

Alyth, in the ad you saw, did Maia look the same as the PS2 Maia, or was it this new Gamecube version of her that I saw? Did the ad say which platform the game was on?

I also urge everyone to check out those screenshots and tell what they think back here. I'm personally glad I'm not playing this on Gamecube. Although the screenies are very high-definition, this only emphasizes the 'jagged' quality of the objects for me. Plus I can't get over the change in Maia - I think she looks very strange and not very tough, comparatively. She's less "warrior queen" and more "sex sells," which is disappointing. I thought she was pretty cool in her original form.

Wow! I just checked out that site and it looks great!

Comparing the screenshots between the PS2 and the GC versions seems to indicate considerably superior graphics in the new GC version. This only makes sense as the GC is a bit more advanced and since this game comes out later they had more time to work on it.

I am very excited for the release!
