They are the ones porting RF2 to the PC
So is Volition involved anywhere in the PC conversion?

Yes..they made the PS2 version which is where the port is originating from
So essentailly if V hadnt made RF2 for PS2 there would be nothing to port from
Yes, heres a big thx to Volition and Outrage. I just hope they dont mess up the balance of the multiplayer.
im looking forward to this. a nice fresh start with no cheating. i havnt tried the ps2 version, but i like the weapons and screenshots ive seen so far.
i hope to see as many original rf players as possible in rf2
they are!?!
I thought V and O didn't like each other after they split up

I assume it was THQ's decision to let Outrage do the Port instead of V.
Wasnt Volition + Outrage = Old Descent making company?
Volition + Outrage = Parallax
They made D1 and D2 and then decided to split into two development houses. Outrage got D3 and then kind of fizzled....V got...well...FreeSpace, Summoner and Red Faction plus sequels out the door.

For a great place for Red Faction map's go to Me Again's Map Site
hopefully Outrage will put in a anti-cheat system, so no one can hack the game and ruin it.

The stopping of cheaters shouldn't be too hard. I mean, if people that didn't have the source code did it in like a month, then the real programmers should be all set

ok RF1 was really too easily bypassed, but even with good code it's possible, what is needed is good active support
tho, why am i even talking about that? RF2 won't have multi (insert angry comment here)
