Beam sounds

Can someone zip up the FS2 beam sounds and email them to me? I would also appreciate any weapon sounds in the pack, as I currently don't have FS2 installed, due to it not running on XP at all. Thanks in advance!

If memory serves, the FS2 VP files are stored uncompressed on the FS2 CDs. If you get the VP Viewer from here:

http://www.descent-network.com/cgi-bin/descman.cgi?module=vpview20

you should be able to get the sounds yourself.

Memory serves you well. They are just copied-pasted into games/fs2 during installation. I guess katastrofi didn't know that. Sorry.

Not all the Vp files are stored that way. The ones from CD1 are stored in some sort of archive file and I don`t know how you`d get them out of it except by installing.
