Canceled campigns

Can someone provide a list of canceled campigns over the past, oh, 2 or 3 years? There were (are) a few that I still have, Unholy Alliance was canceled I believe by... ARGH cant remember who created that!!! :mad

Anyway, anyone got a list?

As for those "major" campaigns that were annoucned with more than just a VBB post filled with aplomb (i.e. a website), there were still quite a few. "Cancelled" is a subjective word; do you mean "TERMINATED" or "haven't been heard from in over a year"?

Yes, it is that UA. The one hosted by VWBB with the final poll as "What should Kazan do?"

Better clarify: I mean major terminated campigns (but with released demos) and "those that havent heard from for some time."

I did some research, and only came up with UA.

HLP, please remember that the story dictates the MOD. Not the other way around.

I recall things like [url=http://freespace.volitionwatch.com/bandits/]Ellis Station[/url], Hunter's cancelled campaign (you could go to his site and probably find some nostalgic reference), Temporal Mechanics, [url=http://freespace.volitionwatch.com/bel/]Behind Enemy Lines[/url], and the next episode in the Twilight Series to name a few. These all had "major" websites to a degree and mutli-person staffs.

It's pretty interesting to dig up some of this stuff. Not just for the memories ( ), but you can find a lot out about the history of the community too.

[url=http://3dap.com/hlp/hosted/techsup/downloads.htm]Technological Superiority[/url] - They at least got their first episode out the door. They've annoucned a second is in the works. That was before September 11th. Of LAST year.

[url=http://3dap.com/hlp/hosted/knossos/]Knossos Campaign[/url] - This one got an update THIS year! Only a few weeks after my 16th birthday, as a matter of fact. That would put it at about eight months ago.

There were a few others that were obviously dead or on "extended leave" I left out.

Just for the record, the abandonment of Ellis was probably the least important result of 9/11. At that point, there were only two of us working on it. Charger is in the US Navy and immediately after 9/11 went to alert status, effectively cutting him off from the internet. It took me a while to regain any interest in games - I'm a New Yorker - but when I did, I (more or less) finished up the website. In January, Charger sent me an email saying that his expected transfer to an aircraft carrier had gone through. He'd said right along that once he was on the carrier, he'd basically be out of contact. And that's where it sits. I haven't officially cancelled it because I don't feel that it's my call to make (Charger is lead) - but as you can see, nobody's working on it.
