Krobelus? Ugh! Help!

This is completely and incredibly lame of me to be stuck on probably the first major boss in the game, but Krobelus is ownin my a$$ over and over. I've tried at least 10 times. I've gotten him halfway, maybe to 25% of his hps, but his Fire AoE spell.. (the one that bursts out in a ring) does massive damage that pretty much wipes out everyone. If they survive the blast, they don't live long enough to survive another hit. Two blasts in a row and all 3 of my peeps are meat.
Am I doing something wrong here? As far as levels go, they are at levels 4, 5, and 6, so they are all pretty close. Should I be higher at this point? I've killed everything I've seen and explored the entire sepulchre.. not sure what I could be missing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try controling someone Else and Make Maia the healer. SO when someone is down on HP she does a pretty good job on healing them before they die. and try to tag on Krobelus with some scrolls That may help too.

Thanks. I actually killed him right after my post. I tried using the Blood summon instead of Tree and whooped up on him. I figured Tree was the strongest since it was the newest, but Blood seemed a lot more effective.

yeah blood summon is by far the best one in the game i think, Krobelus owned my ass the first few times aswell, i discovered that if you just have maia use health potions and you actually use the the block ability, you can actually just hack away at krobelus, you pretty much disrupt all of his spell attempts.

Use fire Arrow

Get Maia to fire her fire arrow spells at the monsters (instant kill) and attack the spheres. While your two other Characters attack Krobelus, Maia can shot off her Fire arrows from a distance and that ends the fight.

when I was fighting him I used about 6 revive scrolls, and whenever someone died I'd revive them. It got intense when there was only 1 person, and id revive, then die, revive, then die, getting about 1 hit in Finally using block I beat him. Was intense

i just charged him with taurgis and used health potions, when i got really hurt i just ran around the altar and he followed me like bad ai would hehe. then i thwacked him in the face and he died.
