I have the ideas for the ship-designs, now I only need to know in which program I can start to draw them...

Programs:

True Space
Blender
Milk Shake
3D Max Studio

wich one the best? I dont know but im using True Space 5 and Blender.

Milk Shake is only $25

3D MAx i dont know much about this one.

I've found the best progam for modeling is Rhinocerous. You need Truespace for texturing and hierarchy if you want to put the model in Freespace.

3ds max works great for me. Pretty easy to get into.

Here's my latest model.

I myself use TrueSpace. Experiences has been richerous and pain of ass feelings mostly on changing shape of corner of object, I think thats one of hardest thing I have ever done....

Figuring out the texturing bit's a real pain too. Thankfully that part improved.

Not sure I can say the same about my choice of texures (generally speaking).
