Ashrak, to keep your loyalty to Earth Alliance, you have to fly very fast to the Nova (or was it the Hyperion?). There are actually two endings in that mission.

He he, after seeing this thread I read the readme and found out that to stay loyal you needed to fly over to the Hyperion super-fast otherwise you defect (by default). Anyways, I've found out the other side of a reasonably good mission so I'm quite happy with the playability I've got out of the mission.
