Unhappy Elevator trouble

I was trying to make an elevator that looked like the ones in the admin levels when I stumbled upon something. I have the elevator already made and it looks great and I hollowed out a box with a height of 20 for it to go in (air brush). The elevator is made both out of an air brush box and a solid box. The elevator doesn't want to show up correctly inside the hollow box. Some textures end up not appearing at all.

I have also tried creating the elevator inside of a hollowed-out solid object and it did not turn up desired results. How can I get this fixed?

hmm have you tried using the RED groups ? they come with a few pre bulit elevators (Brushes / Textures / triggers etc) then you could change the textures to the way you want them download the RED groups here

It´s hard to figure out what is wrong. When you model it´s important in what order you create the brushes. If you are going to create a hollow box you must build the solid brush first and then the air brush. Keep that in mind when you add details inside the hollow box, so brushes don´t disappear because they are created in the wrong order. There are ways to fix this afterwards but can be very complex depending on how the rest of the room is created. Try to be aligned to grid. If you don´t it´s easy to get weird results. Don´t apply any textures until you have finished a model.

I guess you made a shaft with an air brush. Create a solid for the elevator and an air inside to make it hollow. This should work if it´s done in this order
