I missed this one a few days ago.

VPEX is a tool that extracts files from VP files.
"VP file" is used in the games "DESCENT: FREESPACE" and "FREESPACE 2" by Volition,inc, and has extension, ".VP". Most data files used in the games are included in VP file.

"VPVIEW32 Version 1.3" by Descent-Network has the same, and more functions than VPEX. However, VPVIEW32 V1.3 can not run under Windows that supports DBCS, such as Japanese version of Windows. This is the reason I decide to make VPEX.

VPVIEW32 Version 2.0 beta, posted in Descent-Network will run under MBCS windows.

VPEX is a freeware, and provided with no warranty. For more detail, please refer README.1ST and VPEXE.TXT included in downloaded file.
