Red Faction Watch: THQ's Red Faction 2 Press Release
Posted by Alphakiller:
Caught this one on the VWBB ... THQ has sent out the official press release for Red Faction 2.
Check out the entire release here if you want to read it. However, the section I imagine you'll be most interested in, is this:
THQ Inc. (NASDAQ NMS: THQI) today announced that it will unveil Red Faction™ II at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles on May 22. Developed exclusively for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system by THQ’s studio, Volition™, Red Faction II is the sequel to one of the best-selling and most critically acclaimed original game franchises of 2001.
(snip)
Red Faction II is scheduled to release in holiday 2002. The worldwide debut of the Red Faction II trailer, along with more information on the game, will be available on www.redfaction2.com beginning the morning of Wednesday, May 15.
Yeah, that's right, a trailer. I'll be downloading that tomorrow, of course, and I reccomend you do as well. And of course, I'm sure a lot more information will come out about RF2 at E3, so keep your eyes open!
I know it is going to be on the PS2, but is a PC version planed or in development?
PS: The best FPS are on the PC with multiplayer.

Red Faction was a great game. Hopefully the second is going to the PC as well.
"Developed exclusively for the PlayStation®2 "

As far as I know, PS2 only. That's been THQ's stance on RF2 all along.
I imagine it could have something to do with the USB keyboard/mouse feature...
