i know im fast here but

before ppl begin releasing upgrades,

There should from this very start get a team together that is appointed as some form of unofficial
next version upgrade team. What am I aiming at here, Well FS2 never supported mods. Mods was and is something of a tricky business of moving VP / TBL files in and out of directories.

And before we have these Zillions of different upgrades, a team should be put together to design the next upgrade, starting by fixing the various bugs that where never corrected. Like FRED2`s run Freespace option, the Secondary primary countdown being moved to next bank when empty etc etc.

And from then on maybe include proper mod support if possible.

This is of course just a suggestion, but what do you think, state it here.

i wonder if simple change of that number would allow for more shield icons.

Freespace Forever can either disappear or focus on making enchancements using the source code(like moving hanger doors).
