Putting pictures in forums...

I take alot of screenshots of various games (JediKnight II, FS2, etc) and am drawing a little too (B5)...

I was wondering, how do I put them into my messages on forums, like this, or at spacebattles.com, and other places?

Like, if I scan my drawings as say, .jpeg, and my screenshots are saved like that, how do I put them in?

Or, what format should I save it all as, or convert them to?

And......is there a way to do it without without hosting them on a site? I dont know HTML so....

Anyone wanna make a section called "Warrens stuff" on their picture site that I can have? Haha...yeah right.

well you HAVE to host it on to a website, there is no other way (well there are, but not conventional).

Its not that bad, just get some free webspace, and upload pictures there. Then in your post, link to them using:

[ I M G ] http:// the url [ / I M G ]

and they will be displayed.

Preferrable format is jpeg, since bmps take up WAY too much space.

Some free webspaces like geocities dont allow pictures on their webspace to be posted, so ask around and find a webspace thats nice.

With some hosts that don't allow linking if you rename the .jpg to .x it works. Strange but true.

Can one of you specify a free site you use?

Freeyellow wants a credit card number even if I do the free account....no giving CC numbers for me online.
