Endgame

I've just watched Endgame and I recognized something.
At the end of Endgame there is still one G.O.D. remaining and the Agamemnon can't use anymore their guns on the front.
So Sheridan orders to ram the platform.

But why didn't they fly aside the platfrorm and used their side guns?
Every Omega has four guns in front and four behind the rotating section.
Nobody said that they can't use them anymore. So why didn't they use them?

There wasn't enough time to make such a manouvre... The platform was about to wipe out the complete American eastcoast... They had only a few seconds...

Or maybe the ship was so heavily damaged that the manouvring thrusters didn't work anymore... Maybe they could only choose between fast and slow...

I was waiting for Sheridan's XO to say "America" when he asked him what the target was. Because, as everyone who watched TV knows, America is the only country on the planet. The only important one anyway.

True for the most part, but in the old Gozilla movies, and in most anime you actually find that the US is very rarely talked about at all, and that it's Japan that's the only country on the planet.

Umm....notice how he said NORTH America. And the EASTERN seaboard. They never once mentioned the United States of America...you know there are two other countries on the North American continent.
