Release dates???

When do you guys expect to finish this mod? Maybe by the summer... Or do you not know yet?

Posted by IceFire on 04-02-2002 02:52 AM:

Umm...summmer....no. Try next summer. These huge projects take time to do...and there is plenty involved. Sound, textures, skins, models, level creation, story writing, music perhaps....lots to do.

What IceFire said is right, we're doing almost everything from scratch save the game engine (Red Faction) and it will take time...

Our new story arc calls for a lot more work than the original one. The campaign is going to be fairly lengthy, so I'll die happy if we see something by Christmas.

I'll die happy if we get something by the second comeing, wich doesn't seem to be very far off now

I haven't seen any news for ages, and I am beginning to think that the programmers actually have lives. So the answer to the topic is: never.

1. Meh... updating web pages.. so much effort.. hah. Seriously though, we want to save a lot of content for now, plus we've already given you loads of story information that was made pretty much just for the website. Plus we've given you other teaser stuff for now too. Hopefully we'll update again soon, though.

2. The programmers do not have lives.

You guys ever thought of doing the, what was it, bug of the day or whatever we all used to be glued to on the V site? The thing that the developers of FS2 posted things they fixed or what not?

At least if there are no shots, we can hear about how hard it is to get that low-poly shivan model to look right

Posted by Dynamo on 04-17-2002 03:55 PM:

The thing about a bug fix of the day is that you'd probably get sick of hearing about it after awhile. Volition only started those when the game was a month or two from release.

Actually, that gets me feeling all nostalgic(sp?) inside because I remember checking those every day before FS1 came out.

Posted by Inquisitor on 04-17-2002 05:38 PM:

Yeah, that's why I mentioned it

.plans could be entertaining as well, just give us poor schmucks who aren't on the project somethign to hope for
