New art to the FPS
I was thinking about making some new art to the FPS homesite, since people behind the project, are asking about some new art to show what FPS is all about.
FREESPACE TO THE PEOPLE!!!
And therefor I have been seaching the entire net for some basic models that I can use for a poster.
Alas I cannot find any and since I am quite new here I thought you would have a clue to where I could find some models for my new posters.
My primary interrest is some planets and some foot soldiers that may fit nicely into the FPS theme, and ofcourse some Freespace starships (fighters, bombers and cruiser class pictures)
So any clues? pleas fill me in
Well if you really want to do this, FS1 has a lot of the V-T war ships like the GTF Apollo, PVF Anubis, etc. which you can view and convert for rendering with some programs like POFView, etc.
You could also talk to some of the other staff, if you're a good renderer we might want to bring you on as a 2d art dude.

3D-MAX models for picture use
Another detail that I wish to know is how to export Freespace models to 3D-MAX, I am working overtime to find a way. Am yet I have not found one. Do I have anything to add in my search.
I need those models in a 3DS-format to make some pictures. If I can get those models I might also be able make some animatins or small movies and that would be COOL
But there is also the Legal Rights that Volition might have when I use the models, I need insight.
