Exclamation Flyable FS2 Caps!

Long before I ever made flyable CAPS for TBP I made them for FS2. The ships I have made flayable are
GTC Aeolus
GTC Gryphon (By Alan Gordon White)
SC Rakshasa
GTCv Deimos
GTCv Nike (By Michael PSYCHO Rainey)
GVCv Sobek
GTD Orion
SD Ravana
Everything about them works, although none of these ships can be are stable in the cockpit view during combat, so have to be flown from the rear view. But hell, WHO WANTS SOME?

Flyable CapShips! This is exactly what someone asked for on the Babylon Project website - to fly the WhiteStar. If the beam can be put on a turret (placement example - the turret on the GTB Medusa), and the antimatter and other such burst cannons placed under your direct control, then that would satisfy a lot of dreams.

OK. Maybe not a perfect working flyable Whitestar, but still, it would be inspiring to fly alongside 2 or 3 of your fellow Rangers and to watch their beams lick out at some big bad Omega-X. It probably is the most 'flyable' CapShip in the B5 universe, however (in my opinion). Sorry if I sent the thread off-topic.

Agreed, it is. Well, the BlueStar is, but that's another story. Anyway, the White Star is a capital ship, so you can make a break either way depending on whether it 'should' or 'should not' be flyable. We'll see what happens

Terrible idea. FS will crash doing this. The problem is that capital ships have so many subsystems (all of their turrets), that when they're all damaged, it creates a list of the damaged subsystems on the hud that is larger than is supported.
Thor, you will not be able to fire the turrets manually. The only way to fire guns on a capship would be to add some primaries/secondaries. Easy enough to do, but you can only have them forward facing, which is a bit stupid for a capital ship if you think about it.
This has been tried before, but failed, for good reason. With the source code now been released, it might be possible to make some adjustments regarding this issue. But I don't like the idea. Just buy Bridge Commander.

could you make beams with missile lock in a similar fashion? when you get missile lock the beam will fire at whatever you got locked on???
