Smile Question about New Release

Hello i was wondering what year will the next release set. I think i read somewere that it will be in the EA civil War .If so, will you be able to pick a side ??( Clark or Sheridan) and if possible to win on Clark side. Sorry to keep asking will be able to replay the Severd Dream battle in B5 or the Campaing will beging like it it at Proxima with 6 EA Omega Class Orbiting Proxima 3.

Thank You and kkep up the good work cant wait for the next release. cya and good nite

severed dreams will probably be included since its one of the most important battles.

We probably will not be able to play the campaign from Clarke's side, because that would mean making 2 whole different campaigns, and 1 takes enough time.

In answer to your questions:
Big, check the model status page, and haven't got a clue. In the meantime Lady Rose just made a new camaign, which she's distributing by email, it's in the thread labled "Missions."

Although a very simple change to the mission in Severed Dreams would make it playable from either side (the same goes for almost any mission).

That hit in right place!

To everyone:
Yes! Soon you all have my final release. I received it from Abersoch today, I need to check it and send to Pera so he can place it in his site.

In case you couldn't guess. I can't wait to see a final version (and play it through again).

Whee!

Oh how I could quess that?

Well it seems that me or my campaign has fans after all (and if there are any fans they are toward that last choice).

Believe me, with few single player TBP missions out there, to have a well thought out and put together campaign is fantastic. My EA-Minbari War campaign is only 50% of the way through scripting (but it ought to be good).

I certainly appreciate the effort of the extra modding in addition to the writing and making of the missions themselves.

No it would not! The scripts for the EA Civil war campaign are very detailed. They're telling a story with lots of characters, etc.

It is impossible to "convert" them with a simple exchange of IFFs.

In fact most things are difficult to convert so you're playing from another perspective - basically you'd need to make a different mission.

Well, take out the dialogue, objectives, etc. This change of side approach simply allows you to fight the battle from the other side, without it being a proper mission. Also, in principle for many missions it wouldn't be too hard to create new dialogue, objectives and events (but not all - for instance you can't jump in during the mission so some missions simply wouldn't work from the other side's point of view).

Well...that's true...but where is the sense to play a missions, that's actually not a mission?

I think it could be possible to do it with the "real" number of ships. Maybe a bit less fighters...

Posted by Triggy on 01-23-2002 04:18 PM:

Fred 2 can handle half the number of fighters seen in Severed Dreams (in my case anyway), but you can have second waves of each destroyed wing being launched from their respective mother ship. That is a lot of ships though!

Good score, but your MX is holding you back.
And of course your memory is better to be DDR or else your CPU is too good for your other hardware. Also 256 MB is a bit too little nowadays... *sigh* I'm going for console next time.
