Are you insane? We could never do that in a game engine...FreeSpace 2 or Unreal 2....not just yet...in any case.

Given the eye candy the Unreal 2 engine is churning out, I wouldn't be surprised if Legend could come somewhat close to that level of graphic quality.

Not quite yet....they are getting close...but there are somethings they just can't do yet. In the next quantum leap in graphics I expect we'll bound past what Babylon 5 did however.

But that'll take a couple of years (at the most).

Unreal 2 is the sequel to the totally awesome first-person shooter Unreal. And if the screenshots from Epic are any idea, it's gonna give Final Fantasy 10 a run for it's money in the real-time graphics department.

If I said it, I wouldn't be. Unreal as a game perhaps was a tad subpar, but the graphics engine was nothing short of unbelievable at the time and Unreal Tournament still holds up well. I play TacOps (a MOD for UT) on a very regular basis.
