Mod install

I finally got an intact coe file forthe mod. Do I just install into the FS2 root directory?

Posted by Drahkas on 12-30-2001 12:45 AM:

install it into the freespace2/data/ directory

remember to back-up whatever MODs you already have installed

Do some of you not read the instructions that are in the installation itself?

It is there for a reason....it was written for a reason.

Never mind, Ice. Next time we will include a wave file saying the instructions in B5 style (think of the No surrender, no retreat battle song here):

"Beta 1, go go go!!"
"Affirmative, going to install to the FS2 data dir!"
"Break off!!! Nah...I mean...make BACK UPS!"
"Yes sir!...and now?!"
"Proceed with mission objectives...hit OK...NOW!!!!"

There were NO instructions with the file I got, but I installed it into the data directory. I checked all over but saw no installation instructions.

Awesome mod, shame theres only a few missions at present, but its hell fighting the Minbari.

The instructions are written into self-extracting exes themselves. So, when you start any of the packages and install it, there's text explaining you how to do it.

Oops, I had seen them, but it didn't mention where to put the files. Guess who didn't scroll down?
