About the next release...

I liked The Babylon Project mod and everything but I wish more time had been spent on making new and more ships and missions instead of the whole interface. I do like the menu in the game, but the missions and ships mean alot more to me than what the buttons look like in the main screen.

I guess you didn't know that we spent the better part of 2 years figuring out and building the ships.

It WILL NOT take that long for the second release but building ships was definately the primary focus of the MOD before, now, and will be in the future.

The interface work credit goes to CptWhite and Skullar....neither who actually make model meshes (but do texture models from time to time).

Compaired to the research and development time spent on ships, the interface was quite a bit less. It was of course a grand effort, but comparatively it was not a primary focus. Don't think for a second that we did an add/subtract move where the interface beat out a ship model.

This is not the case.

I have a couple of questions about 2 of the models. Have you guys figured out any possible way to fix the on turret on the top of the Nova that doesn't move? I noticed there are no barrels(just a dome) on the turrets on the side of the Hyperion. Will that be fixed as well?

Yeah that's right Ice.
Except CptWhite and me NO ONE bothered about the Interface. The first release wasn't intended to contain a long and fascinating campaign..... we just made it so there finally WAS something available for the public. Ice and Darkblade wrote 5 missions ( not a big job ) over night and we put this thing together with more or less difficulty.

Release 1 is rather a tech demo , we will have FAR MORE story-heavy releases in the future....

I just say :
- Drazi campaign
- ISA-Centauri conflict
- The EA Civil War ( yeah, that's my baby )
- The thirdspace campaign
- other cool stuff that escapes me at the moment.

Oh by the way , how about storyboard-writing yourself ?

No, FS2 engine doesn't allow those things to rotate.

And skullar:

A thirdspace campaign? huh?

can u guy's make a different hud for the bluestar cause it is the most vorlon and HIGH tech thing that will be flyable so can u peeps think of a really cool hud for the bluestar would be nice

No because FS2 does not support ship specific huds.
One and same hud is used on all ships.

There are ideas for a campaign dealing with the thirdspace aliens, here it is :

I will eventually move on to this when I finished the EA Civil War campaign : Then I will see if the community likes my style or not. If they do I will write another campaign script. If not , I get back to texturing and write another campaign script later when they all forgot I did a bad job.
