Depends how large the ships, textures, sounds and voices are. There will be of course update files, but I really don't know how big the next one is...

A very good question. We use a new compression method called iterative packing.
We rar the stuff , then we rar the rar , then we rar the rar of the rar and so on till the whole release only measure 1 byte.

Then we provide it as download and you have to deflate it 25.357 times.

Just thought because my internet connection will be gone for month or two but I would still like to get the new files. A friend of mine could download them (with 56k) and burn them to CD but he won't do it if the files are very big.

i reckon your probably looking at about 60-70Mb for the second release, though this could vary quite a lot.

then you'll have the additionals

a music upgrade say 15Mb ?

some more animations (but done completely differently this time) say 15Mb (for 10-15 animations)

large textures upgrade, about 10Mb

so something similar to the current version i think
