I rather don't like the design all that much, although if we were to do the Dilgar war, I guess we'd have a source of inspiration.

is it just me, or does this thing look like a b5-ified Y-wing?

I suggested that ship a long long time ago and nobody paid attention to me.

I really grew to like that ship playing the Dilgar Invasion mod for Homeworld at first I hated it.

I reposted a petition to instead include the modernized version of that ship the Hecatoncheires Class Battleship. The "Heca" looks much better than this one. It has the Warlock's gravimetric engines, the "bridge" connecting the engines and main hull are different, it has heavier numbers of the Warlock's weapons systems and the Warlock's sensor arrays, it is after all a Battleship.

Unfortunately there is only 1 view of the Heca and it's the side shot so you really can't see it in great detail. I accept it's not as cool as a Warlock or an Omega but I really like it and feel it would make a fitting Battleship. Anyways, the Heca looks like this:



Granted many of Wolf's Shipayrd's ships are horrendous but I like this one, it may not be great looking but quite convincing EA ship. And at least it's a fairly original design.

Yes, that model has been created..I do not know where it is located, however a colleague of mine at SB recently posted a render with the Orpheus prominently located, and thus the implication is fairly obvious..

I agree, both the Heca and the Orpheus have their own flowing style, unlike many thworn together models (the Armageddon model looks promising too, but needs work on the nose in my opinion).

Please can people come up with some interesting variants for races other than the EA though

I feel that the Narn especially have a lot of room for creating new and interesting ships.
