There official Names for the Guns, i websurf alot on b5 systems and weapons as im trying to make a New miniatures game out of the series, "Babylon Fleet 5", It takes after the Battlefleet Gothic style of play from GamesWorkshop.
I think there's Another game from Agentsofgaming Babylon 5 Wars, But thats a little too advanced therefore time consuming, mine is fast-pased turn style play, using Agentsofgaming's mini's
To check some out go to agentsofgaming.com
Warwind, I've already made a faster paced Babylon 5 boardgame (similar in feel to BFG), with just a few bugs to sort out but it generally plays well. I have a set of core rules, weaponry lists and ship datafaxes for most canon ships. If you want to compare notes I can mail you my work so far.
I still have to sort out fighter combat (not too hard), powering weapons (harder but I have several theories) and interceptors need reworking.
The bad news is I've already pitched it as a concept to AoG (the only company with the appropriate B5 licence) and one or two others but they won't even consider making it as a production product

Trilogy Im very interested in your Game it sounds wonderful, I would love to compare notes, email me at Babylon5wars@hotmail.com
With your core rules and whatever else you got on ya.
Then ill send ya some information on my game, we could compare
notes decide whats good for each others games and basically help each other develop or improve them.
And Maybe even come up with some campaign rules.......
Sorry guys, but Particle beams, like those mounted on the omega, arn't actually "beams"! I know it sound stupid but they are bolts. Lower tech, single mount versions of the Centauri twin array. There is no way around this. It is definatly the case, seen in the show and backed up by AOG. The only beams we see firing from these ports were on the Omega-X, and those weren't particle beams.
Oddly enough Heavy particle beams do fire as a beam. Perhaps that what classifies it as heavy, the fact that it maintains the stream rather than releasing in bolts, just my theory.
