How are Auroras and Thunderbolts...
stored in Nova's/Omega's? Obviously not like the fighters of B5, those are in Cobrabays

I'm not sure but I have a guess. If you watch some of the scenes where the fighters are about to launch from the cobra bays on B5 they are lowered closer to the doors before they are actually dropped. I think they would probably put 3 or 4 fighters across in a series of rows which are lifted up for storage and to allow shuttles to launch and they are just lowered to launch. That is the best guess I can come up with.

I think you're right about that, Ranger1...
I read somewhere that they are launched in 2 rows alternatingly using a 'mechanical' push mechanism, rather than Babylon5's 'centrepital force' push
If you notice the fighters launching, you'll always see them in 2 columns, alternately spaced

Fighters from Omegas launch in groups; take a look at an episode like Severed Dreams - it's not a steady stream of them going out, it's discrete clusters of 7 being launched in rapid succession. (7? That's what I counted out of the Alexander launching out of Severed Dreams anyway. Could be 6, I suppose.)

Heh. Good an answer as any, I suppose. Seriously ... 7. Somebody watch Severed Dreams and make sure I'm not on crack, wouldya? Right after Ryan says "Launch fighters!" is where I counted them going from the Alexander.

you're right, 7 fighters, then a pause, then again 7 fighters, etc

The fighters launching by flying out of the main bay in groups in Severed Dreams was due to financial constraints. Had money been no object they would have been catapult launched from side bays in a similar fashion to B5's cobra bays.

Not that controversial as the comment was originally made by one of the Foundation Imaging team.
