Red Faction: Red Faction #3 to Make or Break PS2

DailyRadar, continuing it's initial look at the year to come, puts Red Faction at #3 on the list of games that will either make or break the PS2. RF was beaten out only by Capcom's Devil May Cry, from the makers of the much famed Biohazard (Resident Evil) series and Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Surprisingly absent were other marquee titles such as the other Kojima game, Z.O.E (which looks pretty killer to us VOOT fans), and the oft delayed and now renamed Gran Turismo 3. The other two titles on the list were The Getaway, which looks like, IMHO, all bark and no bite, "but look at us we sure do have pretty screen shots that we drew in Photoshop," and Core Design's Project Eden. Other notable crap to come out of Core is the dead horse Tomb Raider series that for some reason people still insist on beating five times a year (haven't we desecrated the original PoP enough already), the worse than crappy Fighting Force series, and other misc PSOne games that are too horid to mention. Wow, according to the list the PS2 is only average then. Big surprise. I guess three out of five ain't bad, eh? The sad thing about the PS2 is that I own three games that I can honestly say I'm satisfied with while the same time last year on the DC I probably owned triple that. Behold the joy of Sony's hype machine. From now on I'm buying Turbo Grafix all the way baby. Anyway, check it out if not to just give Daily Radar the hits, because Lord knows Imgaine Media doesn't make enough money as is.
