Tech Database
I've been experimenting with adding new ships and weapons to the table files. For example I added a Midwinter varriant using the same specs as the hyperion but using a particle laser I added to the weapons. This works fine. I can use it in missions and so on. I then added a Nova Mk 2 varriant with similar modifications. The problem, when I add a new ship to the ship.tbl, the Sharlin gets bumped off of the bottom of the list in the tech database. Any clue why this is happening? Does the database only support a certain number of ships? And why does it bump off only the Sharlin? If I delete my added ships, the Sharlin comes back along with Earth Atmosphere despite the fact it shouldn't show in the database at all. I'm a little perplexed as to how this works. If anyone has any idea I'd love to hear it.
Not a clue. Except that if you make a new pilot, it'll probably work fine again.

Thanks. That did it. Didn't think it would be that simple. Here I was pouring through the table files looking for some obscure entry that could account for it. I know the weapons data is problematic, in that some people crash when they click on it. After I edited the weapons table I did too. After the new pilot, I can bring it up again. I don't know if that tells anyone anything. But there it is.
so maybe if i make a new pilot just for the B5 campaign... i might be able to see the weapons database?
[edit] hey that worked! so all the problems with that stuff is caused by pilots made with the FS2 tables I guess[/edit]

I deleted all pilots and created new ones... still FS2 crashes when trying to access weapons database. This simply can't be... Some get it going I don't! Always me! 
Carefully go thru your table and get rid of all ships,weapons platforms and other crap that you don't need. If you look at the default table you essentialy have duplicate entries(I.E Lillith &Cain)If you really want o good mod go thru and delete all you don't want.The same goes for the weapons table and the star table.My game is so heavily modded that the only missions that I have are the ones I crated.
One thing to remember.....
BACK UP YOUR FILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whats this strange fixation with the Weapons room. Its the least interesting screen of the entire game. I didn't even write in all the descriptions if I remember correctly.
