How the hell did we miss this?

On October 5th, IGN.PS2 gave us one more report of what everyone's been wanting to hear. In a recent publication of Off The Record, Doug Perry wrote the following, obviously hinting at sequels to both Red Faction and Summoner (Volition's two games that have been published through THQ):

THQ Likes the Sound of Round Two
While it shouldn't be a big surprise to anyone who has followed THQ in the past, the formerly named Toy HeadQuarters is working on sequels for two of its biggest titles from its recently purchased developer, Volition. We can't say which ones they are, but there are only two that the developer has created so far, so that should make it easy to guess which ones we'll see.

Great news to hear! I can't believe we let this one slip. Anyway, I'm almost positive we won't get any official confirmation on any of this for a while.. well.. maybe we will, but I doubt it. Anyway, it's good to see one of the biggest sites reporting on a Summoner 2 and a Red Faction 2.
