Do I need highres with GF2?

As above, I got a GeForce2 MX. Do I need to download the highres package?

FS2 works without them and so does Babylon!!

You don't need to download it. You CAN download it if you want better quality textures on some ships. But be sure that you install the core package to be released soon before installing the highres package.

I was wondering if itll make a difference, not just if it was required. So, I should thus wait until the core files are ready, install them, then the highres package.

Same with the ani stuff? I installed it and got the music, but as it said, dont see anything until core files released.
