Creon flavored goodness

Thanks to Aldo, the GTF Creon has been converted back into a .pof format. The original model is by Nukebomb Overkill and the textures by myself.

The shot isn't very good since it's not a real render, just modelview, a render is coming in the future

The model is currently being reduced as it was accidentally triangulated during the conversion.

1300+ is generally what is used on a cruiser, the final ship will have between 400-500 which is about the save as an average FS2 bomber.

Aaah..thought it was a bit much.
Are there going to be any modifications to the actual ship? It was deadly enough in Twilight (although I found it a bit weak structurally)

The ship's reactor power is going to be increased in the re-release of Twilight, and manuverability slightly improved.

Hull wise it'll remain weak, but with strong shields as before.

it's finalised at about 648 polys, which is a little high but respectable... It can be cushioned with the LODs, anyway.

Certainly I ctually managed to copy the hull twice in LOD1

in that version, which is why the polycount seemed so high.

It's all poffed up, i just need to check the D.P's and glows now before sending the final version back to Ace (after i get back home from uni :d )

Slight thruster bug, that's all.

just something I made for my campaign.... I put the Creon into a test mission I'd been using to balance some other ships.
