Zero point energy

If we know enough about the properties of space-time to be able to travel through subspace, then I think it would be reasonable to speculate that by this time we also know how to harness zero point energy. It would be much more convenient than fusion; since you're drawing energy directly from space, the supply is limitless. This also makes sense since the UD-8 Kayser uses collapsing wave-functions and so-fourth.

Zero point energy and subspace both deal with rifts in the dimensions of our space-time continuum. I think it's safe to assume that they're closely tied somehow

ZPE is a truly fascinating thing to me, but I doubt its within some peoples grasp to understand it.

I remember seeing a tv program about it years ago, it's sort of taking energy directly from the universe without the use of matter.
Som scientists think they have made inventions which actually use this today, a invention which energy output is very slightly greater than the energy put in to it. It's widely critisised because the + energy output is so negligable that it could be something not taken intoconsideration.
