For Fun

Okay...just for fun, I did this render as a test of my rendering skills. I'm just starting to learn this, but im slowly getting the hang of 3D rendering and then 2D manipulation.

That looks great.. but are you sure that could be considered "deep space"? It looks more like high orbit.

Umm...the lighting is right....the blue is an ambient color from the background nebulas....the yellow which can only be seen gleaming off bits of the ship are coming from the other side.

To me the sun looks like Capella's sun around about it going supernova. On the last level take a look at it, its green(sorta).

I didn't think a nebula would be bright enough to be the light
source, but if it is shouldn't the dark side of the planet
have a blue tinge as well?
