Red Faction Watch: And there was much rejoicing!

Yes, everyone and their neighbor wants to write reviews of Red Faction, but apparently they also want to write previews for the full PC version. Here's two of them.
The first, from IntelGamer.com who is totally ready for Red Faction to be released, uh, yesterday or so. This quote pretty much sums up his entire position, with the reviewer saying "I can say from experience that Volition is developing one hell of a first-person shooter. With an immersive storyline, extensively unique arsenal, 20 levels of mind blowing madness, an advanced physics system, drivable vehicles, a multiplayer experience that you'll never forget, and a next generation gaming engine with Geo-Mod technology that allows you to destroy and alter the games environment, Red Faction could be the most talked about game since Half-Life." He also loved bullet physics - at super long ranges your sniper rifle is not a hitscan (e.g. instantaneous) weapon, as real sniper rifles are, he goes over the storyline basics, the vehicles, the AI, and of course, Geo-Mod in the course of his review. So click right here for the full version.
Second up is HomeLan Federation & Alliance ... I think...anyway, they too recieved a press copy (e.g. almost fully featured beta) and put it through its paces. The guy likes singleplayer, was impressed with the AI, says the weapons are good but he wants a little more variety, and most importantly he has some pretty screenshots of things other than a mine. Now, I've been in a real, operational mine before, and RF's are pretty well done, but sometimes you want to see the open sky, so head on over to the Review and look. (Admittedly some are from multi maps, but hey.) You can also submit comments about his review at the bottom of the page, or, like always, use the Post Comments link above to post at RFW.
