I'm sure this kinda goes without saying it, but Sony has officially approved Summoner for manufacturing! This doesn't mean it's gone gold... yet, but here's what [email]the l33t Todd had to say on Volition's homepage:

On Monday, October 9, Sony approved Summoner for manufacturing as sleep-deprived developers ran amok in the streets of Champaign, Illinois. Though no arrests were reported, many revelers exhibited symptoms of vitamin D deficiency.

Volition and THQ anticipate that Summoner will be on the shelves for the North American launch of the PlayStation 2 later this month.
