question...

nice work but i've got a question: how did you make that in-game video footage that's in the trailer?

Posted by JR2000Z on 05-17-2001 06:01 PM:

Can you use PowerPoint to make some?

Posted by Ace on 05-17-2001 11:53 PM:

If powerpoint can load .jpeg sequences as well as save as an .avi file, then there is nothing keeping you from doing that

Edit: The BWO trailer and Machina Terra trailers both use rendered squences, however the quality matches that of a tailored FS2 mission to make the scene with the HUD disabled.

The trailer's footage was done through using FS2's printscreen option.

Shockwave flash automatically strings together the images into a movie when loaded and the "load .jpeg sequence" option is used.

This allows for "cutscenes" to be easily created in the FS2 engine.
