Roger Wilco Meetings?

I know we use IRC for our meeting but I have a small program called Roger Wilco that allows for voice chat and could be useful for explaingin stuff better and used in conjuction with the IRC meeting...its setup is very simple....basically 1 person makes a room which is given an IP address the IP is then given to the other people (ie those in the IRC room)who click Jion and then enter the number...and there you go - done!

it can be downloaded here:

I know where all from different countires but i would use it if others would chat between all people who speak english would be good Rictor IPAndrews Bobboau Kazan Icefire etc....and anyone else who can speak.....just an idea gimme your thoughts...

Oh ****, not this stuff...
Well, this is not ok for me for two reasons:
1) I can't talk english as well as write.
2) I can't hear well.

So this is out from me

Good in theory.. bad in practice CptWhite =). I say this because notice how everyone talks in irc at the same time. Put this over a vocal channel where you can't go back and check what was said.

It'd work for person to person to explain something, but for the meeting, it'd crash and burn (and I have seen people try to do it with RW )

Not a good plan....especially for language reasons

Got to agree with IceFire, Mr.Fury and Seether this time. I have once tried Roger Wilco and I really, really didn't like it. Usually the voice quality sucked (even if I put it on maximum) or then I didn't hear anything at all... so no way...

Let's stick with MiRC for the time being...

(Put Java based chat on The Babylon Project page... )

hmm. why not ?
However , since I kissed the microphone-IN goodbye I am excluded from voice-over-net actions .
Too bad.

I could speak English, if you can stand my slightly British-style accent

Funny, all Americans I've met say I sound like a Brit, and Brits say I sound like an American.

But I don't like speaking. I prefer typing.
