Models n' such
After reading the stuff on Volition's fighter tutorial, I got Blender and have been fiddling around with it. I might try out doing some of the B5 designs that haven't been started yet, but the only 3D tool I have is Blender, so I'd have to pass it along to someone else to texture/finish it.
You could always get TrueSpace, which I think allows you to texture. I've been going through Max Sterling's fighter tutorial, and after making a 3D cube in Blender I can't help but admire those modelers who are doing the ships for B5. Trying to do just one of the ships they're doing would take me a month, and that's just for creating the mesh.

I made a cube too! I even textured it with a quasi-borg looking thing. So it was a Borg Cube
Yes!
a cube you say? wow i wish i had the talent to do that
It's not really too hard to use, once you get the hang of most of the functions. Of course, the model isn't just going to fall together either.
And if all else fails, I can just make a Borg fleet
PS- When I have more than one object in Blender, sometimes the little blue vertex icons disappear and I can't edit the shapes. Anyone know how to make them come back? (It's not because I'm out of Edit mode)
Are you sure you're in edit mode? Beside that I don't really know.
BEHOLD: The POWER of BLENDER!!!!
(From the first B5 fan to use it!) http://www.atlantic.net/~lakesid/frazisgquan.jpg

My signiture exist in many shapes and sizes at many different forums. this is not one of them.
Nice renders
Yeah, any Blender questions, direct them to A2597, then Max Sterling and his fighter tutorial, and if you can't find either, I may be able to help

Yep, nice renders, but the Drakh beam is too green... It's actually more white/blue. That way it looks more energetic

Humans...
Yes. They are the key.
-Delenn and Kosh, Babylon 5: In the Beginning
Yes, a foolish key... But who cares?
