Music Requests
Heyas
I'm working on muisc right now. Its pretty much going to be samples from various B5 Episodic CD's. I'm going to take some requests anwayays. Specify the specific CD or episode where the music came from so that I can try and track it down. Everything from good victory music to briefings to battles (although I've got that pretty much covered by 5 separate battle tracks each with 3 pieces).
Also, does anyone know offhand if FS2 will take compressed waves?
Requiem, Battle of the Line
The best two.
You have to be a tad more specific. Battle of the Line from the B5 In the Beginning CD? Requiem from where?
Most .wav formats acceptable in Windows can be read by FS. (I'm not sure which type of compression you're referring to, so I can't give much better of an answer)
Files should be under 12mb or so in order to keep from having possible errors on slower systems.

I still think we should have the Armeggedon suite from the Armeggedon sound track and The Battle and The Barbarian Horde from the Gladiator Sound track

We surely can use other sound tracks as long as they aren't associated with other SF series....
Like Homeworld , in the second mission when your planet is destroyed you hear
BARBER : Andagio for strings
It could be quite monotone just to take music from B5-CDs but I have no doubts IceFire will make the right choice !
We could throw in a few extras....or Kazan you have enough knowhow to make your own tables to accomodate that too
As found at www.musicofb5.com
Voices of Authority Suite, Messages from Earth suite, "The War" from In the begining. (part two if you DL from MoB5).
A Late Delivery from Avalon parts 1 & 2
The Coming of Shadows. (Track used in the ITF in game trailer)

My signiture exist in many shapes and sizes at many different forums. this is not one of them.
Hi,
Adagio for Strings is beautiful piece of music but is rapidly approaching overexposure. Also, since it is so powerful and moving it's not appropriate for generalised background music. The uses of it in Homeworld and, in fact, Platoon were just about perfect but I can't see it working as something to fly a starfury into battle to.
Bye,
Dave
Yeah, Requiem really needs to be included...Ice, and make sure it's the non-european version.
That Severed Dreams Battle Music-the one where b5 breaks away
------------------
People think I should belong in a mental institution well they are right!
Got that one done already.
I've made so far:
- Severed Dreams battle music
- Endgame taking back earth battle music
- Into the Fire shadows, vorlons, alliance final battle
I also have done some prelims on the Thirdspace Battle, a track from Babylon 5: Into the Fire, and Battlestations from the Crusade Soundtrack (for those who want to do missions with the Excal and Crusade music).
I have an mp3-track from the B5 last episode (Sleeping in light).
The music played over the Narn Shadow battle in "The Long Twilight Struggle". The full version is on the 2nd CD "Messages from Earth". And like Jabu says, "Requiem for the Line" from the 1st CD.
How about "Mars, Bringer of War" It is a classic piece of battle music.
How about Main Theme song from one of the The Best of Babylon 5 cd's?
i dont know anything about the music.tbl

ADPCM format should give you a small enough file and it's what FS2 and FS1 use anyways. I think if you use the exact same settings you can get a 2 minute clip in 2 megs or so.

Yup...that format is almost as good as Mp3.
The Coming of Shadows. There is a one part which could be excellent for when enemy arrives to the battle field.
Fall of the Night. 1.36 minutes from the end is excellent for when the player dies in the game. At least I think so...
Requeim of the Line. But that's already been said...
Long Twilight Struggle (or something like that?). There would be a good battle music.
Babylon 5 : Into the Fire Extended Theme. Also would have an excellent battle music...
More to come...
