I understand that in order to make the mod more fun for everyone, the fighters are going to have beefed up hulls so that one hit kills aren't happening all the time. Nevertheless, I'd like to know if you will be releasing along with your mod separate table files which would make the game more true to the show, such as lower fighter hull strengths, etc. This would be especially useful in multiplayer games where respawns are allowed. Or if it still plays a bit too extreme, how about just making the subsystem strengths much lower, so it's much mroe likely that a single hit, while not fatal, would have a large chance of completely disabling a subsystem. If you're read through this whole rant, thanks

We will ship along our own tables which will be balanced for optimal game play.
You can edit them , however , but this will be regarded as CHEATING.

You know the rules of cheating :it is allowed only in singleplayer and only after you played all campaigns through with the original tables.

Cheating? I wouldn't dream of it. I don't mean to use this alternate table to cheat, I just thought it might be closer to the show. Also, it probably wouldn't be much use in single player anyways because there's no respawn. Of course, I'd play the missions through using the regular settings, but I was just saying that I wanted to be able to try playing the game using a damage model more realistic to the show.

with one hit kills you'd need to make the ships alot harder to hit faster and more maneovurable other wise all the fighters would die very fast

without shields i got to admit i'm not looking forward to my standard freespace tactics of an initail head to head pass then hard round onto there tails - but new tactics are good - spice things up abit now and then

Different versions of the tables might come, but they're gonna be developed after the tables for single play.

I'm open to working on alternate table sets and for others to create alternate table sets. Infact, I wouldn't mind some of those good ones to be available on the website.

Hulls are beefier...but we've also increased the speed so its harder to hit anyways.

Well, if you guys don't get around to making the new tables I might get off my lazy arse and do them myself after the mod comes out. Anyway, here's a list of words we'd all like to see more often: done, completed, finished, ready, and the most important one: downloadable don't rush but hurry up guys
