New Weapons?
So...what kind of new weapons would everyone like to see?

I think big weapons of mass destruction pretty much sums it up.
Also some new missles would be nice.

For the cap ship some Phaser banks and a few photon torpodo lauchers hehehe. lets add warp drive to that and shields heheheh. thats just a joke hehehe
What about a small beam cannons for the fighters that would be cool my be more then one on a fighter heheh.

Well...what I really want is for people to be happy with anything new that we do manage to put in.
What I would like to see some primarys that fire in sequence, not all at once. More like in the old Tie Fighter game.
New weapons would be cool, i'd like to see new weapon effects to go on the old weapons as well, or the new ones. Whatt good is a new weapon if it doesn't look good in the bargain? 
Sequence fire is impossible. Its determined by the game engine...not tables.
i didn't mean that exactly, i meant like explosion effects (i KNOW they're just ANI's)
and make them more smooth and refined (and believable

Explosions are uber hard to do. Thats not our focus. I have made two new primary cannons for Sol forces and were debating on any new weapons for the GTVA side.
The problem is that pretty much every weapon type is covered by FS2 standard and adding another cannon just sort of confuses the issue unless its some kind of achievement over the others. I don't want another heavy cannon either since the Kayser does a more than adequate job of turning everything into shreds.

fighters too small, not large enough power source, no wre to project it from, game unbalancing unless it realises that a beam on a fighter would be incredable weak and a pointless endevour, the majority of weak cap ship beams in the game do little damage imagine how weak and feeble it would be, after 5 volleys youve taken off 1 hp from a capship.
chargable weapons the longer charge the heavier the punch MWUHAHAHAHHA pretty much sums it up

If it wasn't done in concept in FS2...then we can't do it. We're not re-writing the code...we're just making some new tables and some new graphics as far as weapons are concerned.
Beam cannons cannot be placed on fighters. Except the targeting laser, but that has its own problems.
